This is what Jennah was left with after a little spill (and many tears) on the playground during lunch recess today at school. We are so thankful for dentists that can fix little things like this!

'Hair's' to looking beautiful!

I am a HUGE fan of the little girl hair blogs (I have the links to two of them on my blog)! Growing up, I always wanted a little sister to play with and fix her hair, but it was never meant to be *sigh*. I'm so lucky to have my own two girls with great hair to experiment on! My girls aren't too thrilled to be my guinea pigs, but they do cooperate. I am "hair-style challenged", so when I found the links to the hair blogs, I was ecstatic! There are still some hair-do's that I stay away from...mainly ones with french braids...they never turn out well for me.

My girls and I have been having fun with the Valentine's Day 'do's'. The angle of the top & bottom right pictures aren't quite right...it did look like a heart, just not here. Cute AND easy! Just what I need!

This one took FOREVER...but it was one of my favorites when it was done. I did this on our 2nd Sunday here in Snowflake. Kirstie's comment was "mommy, this was a long hair-do, can we not do it again?"

The top pictures here are from their first day of school. They took a while, but I loved how they turned out...and so did my girls:) The bottom left pictures is one of my favorites with Jennah's hair, and was sooooo easy...no special skills involved here!

This is the 1st day of school hairstyles from the front, minus the braid in Jennah's hair (I'm a slow braider).

Kirstie's 7!!!

Kirstie turned 7 on Thursday. We did the usual family tradition...waking her up singing "Happy Birthday"...which, as you can see, she wasn't all to thrilled about...until she saw the presents. Just as I hoped, she LOVED her new outfit...it's soooo Kirstie! My parents came over a little later to give her their gift...the cute little puppy, and other 'girlie' stuff. She was one happy girl! Then, after supper we had birthday cake and ice-cream. Stevie told me that he would NOT eat that cake, saying in a very disgusted voice "it's pink and girlie...that's gross!"...well, he ate it anyway, and actually enjoyed it!

Party!!

Friday the 6th, we had Kirstie's first official birthday party. There was a good turn-out, with three of her friends from school, and three cousins! They had a lot of fun decorating and eating cupcakes, singing "Happy Birthday" at the top of their lungs (had to plug my ears for that one...eight very loud little girls!), playing games, and of course, Kirstie's favorite...opening presents!
