I was just too busy visiting with family to remember to take pictures, so I only got two. Jennah was just DYING to hold Paisley! (We really need another baby in our home!).
Lynnette made Paisley's dress, and my amazing mother did all the embroidery on it. The Lunt's have the cutest little kids chairs at their house. Just the right size for Kirstie :D
06-10 Stevie has recently been very interested in anatomy, and he also loves to tell me just how much he loves me. Well, he is now combining his two loves. He will start by saying "Mommy, I love you infinity, forever and google". To which I respond with a smile "I love you MORE". Then he'll go on to tell me he loves me with all his heart, to infinity, forever, and google. I always respond the same. This will continue for a minute or so, and each time, he'll add a new part of anatomy until he names everything he knows..."I love you with all my skin, bones, teeth, hair, heart, fingernail, tonails, blood, brain, tongue, liver...to infinity, and forever, and google!" To which I respond, "I love you MORE". He'll give up with a smile, and give me a BIG hug and kiss. It's moments like this, that make EVERYTHING worthwhile !
10-7-09 Last night, while tucking Stevie in he said to me..."Guess who my girfriend is going to be when I grown up?"
Mommy: "I don't know, Who?"
Stevie: "Macee!!"
(She's a super-cute girl in his class, and I caught him writing her name the other day, and was teasing him about it, I guess he's been thinking about what I told him about not having girlfriends until he's grown up!)
08-19-09 Stevie: "Hey mommy, you know how I say four?"
Mom: "no bud, how do you say four"
Stevie: (holds up fingers, one hand at a time) "two-two"
05-8-09 Mom: "Could you kids tell daddy supper is ready?"
Stevie: "I'll yell so loud, MEXICO will hear me...ya' know why?...'cause it's just one step away!"
03-4-09 Stevie: "Daddy, are the dishes in the dishwasher clean?"
Dad: "Let's just look and see bud" (opens the dishwasher to find it empty)"...Yep, their clean"
Stevie: *gasps* "No, their....INVISIBLE!"
01-09 We were at my parents eating dinner, when I noticed that Stevie was eating his french fries with salsa. Here's how the conversation went...
Mom: "That's looks gross bud, do you want ketchup instead?"
Stevie: "No mommy, it's delicious!"
Mommy: "That's right, you'd eat anything with salsa"
Stevie: (in a very matter-of-fact tone) "uh, no, not a door!"
12-4-08 Stevie has quite the vocabulary for a 4yr. old. While going for a walk today, he told me "Mommy, I would be terrified if I had a black widow on my head". (Ya, me too!!!) Another example of his love for words, would be his FAVORITE word, "actually". He will purposly tell me something he doesn't want just so he can use that word. Our conversation will go something like this...
Stevie: "mommy, could you please get me some water?"
Mom: "sure bud!"
Stevie: "actually, I want some milk, well... actually, orange juice"
10-29-08 Conversation at dinner...
Stevie: "mommy, what are you going to be for Halloween?"
Mom: "a mommy"
Stevie: "a kid mommy?"
Mom: "Yes...what other kind of mommy is there?"
Stevie: (with a VERY serious expression) "you know, the kind wrapped all up in toilet paper"
9-28-08 "Did you know that one of the prophets is named Oof-dork?"... (hey, at least he's trying =D)
8-10-03 At church, Stevie grabbed me by the cheeks and said, "mommy you're Bee-u-tee-ful!!"...now he tells me that several times a day, and I LOVE it! (he also like telling me that I'm a "nicey")...what a sweet, SWEET boy!!!!!!!!! =D
8-3-08 Stevie: "Mommy, can I have some more pine-a-wope?"
Mom: "some what?"
Stevie: (as he points to something in the fridge) "you know, this stuff"
Mom: "Oh, you mean cantaloupe!"
Stevie: "Ya, camp-a-wope"
Mom: "Close enough" =)
7-30-08: "mommy, I'm way cool, so you should love me FOREVER!" (ya, like that's the only reason I have to love him-hahaha!)
7-28-08 Stevie's favorite song is "Jesus wants Me for a Sunbeam" and always wants to sing it for family home evening. I was watching and listening to him sing it last night, and realized he was singing "Jesus wants Me for a Sun-bean"...I think just about every child has sung their own version of this song. Jennah would sing "Sun-beep", and I remember my younger brother singing "sun-beef"...just too cute!!
Stevie: "mommy I want some chicken burfie"
Mom: "what's chicken burfie?"
Stevie: "follow me and I'll show you"
He takes me by the hand and points out a bag in the pantry
Mom: "Oh... you want Beef Jerky!"
Stevie: "Mommy your hair is like super-man"
Mom: "How's that?"
Stevie: (with hand actions) "it goes whoop-zoom!"
(I guess I had some serious bed-head!)
"I want to wear Spider-Man choners today so I can (said with much enthusiasm)...SAVE THE DAY!"
Mom: "What do you want for your birthday supper?"
Stevie: "CAKE!!!"
Mom: "no...that's for dessert, what do you want for supper?"
Stevie: (said with a great big smile)..."DESSERT!!!!"
