strange things here...

found this in the kids tub this morning...anyone out there know what it is? It has at least 26 really long legs. I say it's a mutant centipede. Kirstie took it to school for show-and-tell this morning, the first time she's ever wanted to do show-and-tell. Maybe that's why this thing appeared at our house, so Kirstie could get up the courage to go in front of her class. Maybe someone there will know.

I don't know what it is, but I tell you, living here in Arizona I have encountered the strangest bugs I have ever seen. There was a spider at Darin's office that we just fell in love with. (as much as you can love a spider, that is)It was REALLY big and kind of a coral color. The body and legs were smooth, if I remember correctly. The abdomen, or whatever the really big back portion is called had two horn type things sticking up and off the back. There were also two little holes in the body. The spider had spun this amazing web right in front of one of Darin's operatory windows. It was fascinating to watch. We kept it there for a few months and then it and it's web disappeared. It turned out, after Darin asked around, that the window cleaners got rid of it. Needless to say we were sad about it. It was almost like a pet. We took it home a few times and played with it, then took it back and put it back in it's web. Well, I'll stop now before I take up all the room and no one else can make a comment!

Hello Melanie!! It is I Joele:) I am such a blog stalker that I saw you post in Jenny's. The bug is a silverfish. They are gross and we have them out here in the boonies. We also had them very bad when we lived in NY. I hate bugs!!!!
