Milestone
For the very first time ever, Kirstie said family prayers tonight totally by herself. It's been frustrating for Steve and I because we were expecting this to happen MUCH sooner (she 6 1/2 now). We were patient though and always told her that whatever was in her heart, that's what she should say. There's nothing sweeter than hearing your child say a prayer. It finally happened tonight, and we couldn't have been more proud!

That's awesome!! Our Riley and Sam get really shy when it is their turn and want the help. One day I hope it happens!
How sweet. I can't believe she is that big. What great parents to be patient with it!!!
I bet it warmed your heart to hear her say family prayer. We have been working on our kids' vain repetition with their personal prayers. Same thing . . .day after day. . .after day. I'm beginning to think that my kids don't listen to me. Strange - I thought kids ALWAYS listened to their parents. huh?
How sweet! What a beautiful picture too. We are still working on the vain repitions.
